“Window of the City” Expresses Harmony and Connects Us to the Future
Jing-Xing Tsao / Editor-in-Chief, China National Radio Mobile
What is this show really trying to tell us? It expresses one of the themes of the World Expo. The Expo has so much to show, and I originally thought “Window of the City” would be the Expo in a nutshell. Instead, it shows the relationships between people, especially the feelings between people. When we first started watching, we wondered how the feelings between people could be expressed through the World Expo. In fact, we discovered that the Expo is not only about the relationship between people and the city; more importantly, it is about the relationship between people.
The Extraordinary “Window of the City” Comes from the Power of the Heart
Nian-Hua Fang / TVBS-NEWS Anchor and Producer
Harmony is the highest state of human relationships, and what “Window of the City” shows, both on stage and behind the scenes, is a harmony of remarkable precision. Achieving such precision is far from easy. It takes this much high technology, this much rich and precise management experience and skill, people from so many countries and regions who all embrace the value of working together, and a team that shares a common pride in its mission… Only when all of these elements come together can the perfection and harmony seen on stage be achieved.
A magical presentation inside a mesmerizing theater, an angel reminded an adult what to look for…
Travis Stanton / Editor, EXHIBITOR Magazine
Inside a circular theater in the shape of an eye, my eyes were once again opened to that childlike curiosity. Serina Chen and her beautiful story reminded me that the city is the people, and the buildings just hide their humanity from the naked eye. The apartment scene rekindled that childlike curiosity that longs for just a glimpse inside, for the reminder that someone lives there, and that someone is more than a name on a mailbox or an anonymous face you pass on the street.
Window of the City reminded me that the beauty of our towns and cities is the people living, laughing, and loving within their borders.
